Monthly Archives: February 2011

After falling in love with pricey woven poufs I saw in a magazine, I was overjoyed when I found a near exact match at CB2 with a much better price! We’ve had two of these grey poufs in our living room since summer and we love them. They are perfect for extra seating, and the dogs love them!
Love these Donna Wilson poufs!

I’m also loving this little guy from Etsy seller, lacasadecoto. Wonder how much shipping is from Spain?

Winter Stay-cation 2011 Highlights:
1. Spending time with my girls.
Zooey & Agnes enjoying the sun!

2. Spring shopping at Lost and Found Vintage
I was definitely in a nautical mood!

4. The Savage Seven Mexican Night
Our decorations. :)
We ate yummy food, played pin the tail on the donkey, and drank delicious homemade Sangria. It was so much fun!
5. House Projects
Finally put up my curtain tie-backs.
New snake plant!

New dining room wall art (that I’ve been wanting!) from Scout

Put up my old photographs.
 Can’t wait to find more.

6. Seeing FUR at the Belmont. Love this band!

Overall, a FANTASTIC stay-cation!

Every kitchen needs one.
 Plate wall!
Vintage deer & a Nikki Sass painting, that I love!
Collections are everywhere!

A peek inside the curio cabinet.
Love the utilitarian binning!

I love my friend Tim’s house. He’s a collector, has great taste, and a very unique way of styling things that I adore.  We bounce ideas off each other a lot and he is my go-to guy for any house project I don’t know how to do! We were hanging out the other day so I took these snapshots inside his home. Enjoy!

Swedish textiles designer Lotta Jansdotter has always been a favorite of mine. The images above are from her Brooklyn studio. I recently purchased her new book Handmade Living: A Fresh Take on Scandinavian Style which has beautiful images of her home and studio, entertaining ideas, and home projects. Super inspiring!

Her home is also featured in the February issue of Elle Decoration UK Edition. When asked if she preferred new or vintage: “I prefer vintage to new. I like the fact that a piece has already done its work in another home.” Love!
